Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

That basic right to life, enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, is under broad assault. Today we must do all we can to dignify life on behalf of the unborn, and the elderly. We hope you will join us in prayer and mourning for the loss of over 55 million babies and the pain suffered by those who are suffering the loss from those decisions.

National Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) Sunday was instituted in 1983 by President Reagan and is honored on the Sunday closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973.  Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is recognized every year on the Sunday closest to this date.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is commemorated by thousands of churches and individuals who desire to take a stand for life. Pastors and teachers give special Sunday school lessons and sermons, and others sponsor prayer and candle vigils. Some supporters participate in pro-life baby showers. Many Christians prayerfully ask the Lord for mercy that the fundamental right to life will be honored in conception and until natural death.

To highlight the sacredness of life, Richland Pregnancy Services will provide bulletin inserts for your church. If you would like to assist us in reaching your church, please call our office at 419-522-8863, ext. 203.

We would also by happy to send a representative from our organization to speak to your church or group about the sacredness of life and how it relates to our ministry. Presentations can last from 3-30 minutes, depending on your group and your requested purpose. Please call the office at 419-522-8863, ext. 200 to request a speaker for your church’s Sanctity of Human Life commemoration.

Many churches also choose to participate in the PRC’s Baby Bottle Campaign in conjunction with their Sanctity of Human Life service.

We hope you will join us in prayer and mourning for the loss of over 55 million babies and the pain suffered by those who are suffering the loss from those decisions.

Baby Bottle Boomerang

The Baby Bottle Campaign is an easy and fun way for your church or group to give to the Pregnancy Resource Center! We provide you with as many bottles as you need, bulletin inserts, posters, and a step-by-step guide for how the Campaign works. You distribute the bottles – one to each person, group, or family – to be filled with coins, cash, or checks.

When you return the filled bottles to RPS, we’ll count the contents and let you know how much your church or group raised. The Campaign brings significant support for the women, men and babies we serve.

The baby bottle campaign can be launched any time during the year that is convenient for you.

  • Call RPS at 419-522-8863, ext. 203 and arrange to pick up the materials from our office or have them delivered to you.
  • Email to arrange a pick-up or delivery of materials.

RPS offers to bring our COMMIT program to your youth group (large or small). Girls ages 13-18 are invited to come together for a fun & entertaining time of sharing. COMMIT is simply challenging young girls to make healthy decisions, build healthy relationships, and how to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life. Girls from past events have loved the time together and the fact that they can choose the direction of their future by making wise choices today! We would love to come to your church youth group.

Walk for Life

RPS’ The Walk for Life & 5K run is a community fundraising even that benefits Richland Pregnancy Services’ main office in Mansfield as well as our OSU & NCSC campus office.

Every year, fundraising walkers, runners and their families gather for our Walk, supporting the PRC’s vision to come alongside women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.

The funds you raise for this event, help provide the critical support needed to maintain RPS's medical clinic in Mansfield, as well as the satellite resource center on the OSU/NCSC campus.

We want to thank you in advance for raising funds to save lives, spare hearts, and help further the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

For more information, please call 419-522-8863.
